Fort Awesome is a 15-room co-op and Cooperative Root’s first house.

We have 3 living rooms, a guest room and a separate building with a kitchen/dining/living room and multi-use studio space above. We use the studio space for things like dance, exercise, workshops, and the occasional party. We also have a deck on the third floor overlooking the bay, a covered bike rack, a work area with tools, and PV & solar thermal panels on our roofs that heat our home, showers, and hot tub as part of our value of living sustainably.

Fort Rad is a 6-room co-op. It also has 2 adjoining tiny homes. This is Cooperative Root’s second house.

We are currently undergoing a total renovation from the foundation, to remodeling the kitchen, and adding new rooms on the second floor! We hope to finish the renovations and get new members this summer!
